Erik Valgaeren

Member of both the Brussels and New York Bars and partner at Stibbe since 2001
within the practice group Technology Media Telecommunications (TMT). He
graduated from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) and also obtained a
L.L.M from the University of Chicago School of Law in 1991. Prior to joining
Stibbe in 1993, Erik was an associate in the Washington DC and Brussels
offices of Wilmer Cutler Pickering. Erik is also member ofthe legal committee
of Belcliv, the Belgian association for IT security and he is on the editing
board of Computerrecht, a Belgian-Dutch legal periodical on ICT law. Finally,
he is also an officer of IBA Technology Committee and a member of FITCE
(Federation of International Telecom Engineers).
